OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The invention refers to a flat surface formed by a single volume with a series of interconnected perforated channels on the surface where the lower level of these channels coincides with the connection to the drain. There is a peripheral channel connected to at least one point of the other channels.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Until now, the current state of the art includes different surfaces or shower trays or sinks in which the upper part is flat and can incorporate channels for the passage of water and drains located at different points. More specifically, the characteristics are detailed in the following documents:

Document GB2402059A (WEBB AK) discloses a sanitary appliance, in this case a shower tray, specially designed for people with physical disabilities, including people using wheelchairs. It is a flat surface shower tray that has a series of internal channels and a peripheral channel, all of them interconnected. The water that falls on the upper surface runs through the channels until it reaches the drain.

Document DE19847204C1 (OBERMILLACHER R) discloses a shower tray sanitary appliance with a flat upper surface. It has internal canals and a peripheral canal. The channels direct the water towards a lower concave tray and from there to the drain. It has a flat upper surface, drains through internal and peripheral channels, and drains into a lower tray, which is concave in shape.

Document DE10146874C1 (KLEIN J) describes a sanitary appliance. In this case, it's a sink. It has a flat top surface. In this case, the flat surface at ground level is made of plastic or metal, being a non-slip perforated surface. The water reaches a lower tray through the perforations and is evacuated through a lower drain.

Document DE29819329U1 (KRAJEWSKI) describes a shower tray for people with limited mobility. The shower tray is located at ground level to facilitate entry into the space. It has a flat surface at ground level and a peripheral channel for collecting water. The water runs into a tray and then into the drain.

Document US2001052148A, which is considered the closest prior art document, describes a shower tray with radial and peripheral channels leading to a drainage opening extending through the shower tray.

None of the mentioned patents have the characteristics claimed in the present invention since they were not manufactured from a single component and in such a way that the channels themselves act as a grid to prevent large objects from entering the drain that can cause the clogging of the drain. .

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a flat surface for sinks and shower trays with drainage through channels, which basically consists of a single volume of stone, concrete or any other construction material that is flat at the top and in which there are canals connecting radially to a drain arranged at the bottom of them.

These channels can be made using a radial arm saw or any other cutting technique, such as laser, water injection, etc., and have a thickness small enough to allow the passage of water, but at the same time prevent the entry of objects. which could clog the drain. This characteristic of the thickness of the gutters allows them to act as gratings that are placed on drains of sinks, bathtubs or showers. The channels also have greater depth the closer they are to the drain to facilitate the drainage of the water. At the bottom there is a drain made in the volume and into which the upper channels drain. The partial slots run between the channels, said slots having a recess to prevent water from spilling. In an embodiment that does not form part of the invention, the upper flat surface is arranged on a concave water collection tray that empties into a second drain.

All these parts of the invention are made as a single component, so it is not necessary to interconnect or join different components, in addition to substantially reducing production costs.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

With reference to figures 1 to 8, the flat surface for sinks and shower trays with drainage through channels consists of a block with a flat surface (1) in which channels (2) are made on the top of it that discharge radially the water to a drain (3) made in the lower part of it. The channels (2) run through the entire volume to the area of the lower part where the drain (3) is located to pour the water into it. Some partial slots (4) run between the channels (2), said slots (4) having a recess to prevent the water from overflowing. The upper flat surface (1) is arranged on a concave water collection tray (5) that empties into a second drain (3).

The channels (2) that discharge into the second drain (3) are interconnected with the other peripheral channels and, as can be seen in figure 4 of another preferred embodiment, they cross at the sides and at the vertices. In this way, the realization of the same is substantially facilitated when cuts are made in the stone or concrete block by means of a radial arm saw.

Another preferred embodiment is shown in Figure 5, in which the drain (3) of the lower part is located on one side, under the area of the peripheral channels, the water pouring into it the radial channels (2).
