A mounting device which defines an articulation axis (A) for the holder (3) of the windscreen wiper is provided at the end, remote from the arm, of the attachment. The geometric axis (A) of the holder (3) has an angle (a) of inclination with respect to the central plane (P) of the cross-section of the seat (15) which is intended to receive the end of the arm.
