Abstract

Dispositivo de memoria magnética que comprende elementos de material magnético conductor con un lazo de histéresis rectangular y conformados en forma de una película delgada con una dirección preferida de magnetización en el plano de la película y están dispuestos de acuerdo a las filas y columnas de una matriz, estando acoplados los elementos de memoria de una cualquiera de las filas al mismo conductor, mientras que una corriente que circula a través del conductor actúa magnéticamente sobre los elementos de memoria acoplados al mismo en una dirección que forma un ángulo con la dirección de magnetización preferida, y que comprende medios para aplicar un impulso a un conductor para la lectura de la condición de magnetización de un elemento de memoria acoplado al conductor de fila, caracterizado por el hecho de que están provistos medios para suministrar temporaria y selectivamente una corriente substancialmente constante a los elementos de memoria conectados en serie de la misma columna, estando acoplado un dispositivo indicador de una variación en dicha corriente a todas las combinaciones serie de los elementos de memoria.
