Abstract

A protective grid for protecting the windows of armoured vehicles against external attack takes the form of a louvred shutter with the louvres 9 being held in a rigid frame 3 which is in turn pivotally secured to the vehicle at the exterior thereof. The louvres are pivotally journalled in the frame and can be adjusted via a toothed bar which is in turn moved via a slot coupling by means of a lever accessible from inside the vehicle.
