Abstract

Aparato óptico maser que comprende un medio gaseoso, el cual contiene un primer gas con un nivel de energía metastable superior al estado de base, y un segundo gas con dos niveles al menos de energía por encima del estado de base, de modo que la distancia entre el mayor de esos dos niveles y el estado de la base coincida substancialmente con la que media entre el nivel metastable del primer gas y el estado de base; y en el que se obtiene una inversión de densidad entre los dos niveles del segundo gas mediante ionización del primer gas; caracterizado porque se reduce el efecto de los electrones energéticos resultantes de tal ionización que se opone a una inversión de densidad.
