Abstract

Wet granular solids are dried in a fluidised bed by a current of hot air in chamber 2, and the air passes upwards from the bed and inwards through filter bags 14, which are provided with Venturi nozzles 22 and compressed air jets 28 to blow the accumulated dust periodically from their outer surfaces and back into the chamber 2 or to the bottom of the filter chamber 2.
