Abstract

Un método para producir un cuero terminado, caracterizado por aplicar a un cuero una dispersión acuosa que contiene de 1 a 30% en peso de por lo menos un copolímero en emulsión cristalino de (a) 55 a 80% en peso de cloruro de vinilideno, (b) 20 a 45% en peso de otro monómero monoetilénicamente insaturado, teniendo dicho copolímero un peso molecular en la gama de 100.000 a varios millones y secar luego el cuero recubierto a una temperatura entre 50 a 110º C durante un periodo de 10 segundos a 10 minutos y, si se desea obtener un cuero terminado que lleve una capa múltiple de un recubrimiento termoplástico, repetir el proceso de recubrimiento y secado al menos una vez más, pero con una dispersión acuosa que contenga de 10 a 40% en peso de dicho copolímero en emulsión cristalino.
