Abstract

The present invention relates to an orderly storage device for banknotes in a sack.

More specifically, the invention relates to an orderly storage device for banknotes in a bag in which the bag is disposed in a substantially vertical position and has inlet edges that can be separated away from each other for reception. of banknotes per stock and under substantial stacking conditions, in accordance with the introductory part of the main claim.

Background of the invention

Devices for storing banknotes and securities in airtight bags are present in supermarkets, shopping centers and banks or the like in association with securities collection instruments. After sealing, the bags can be removed and transported by personnel from the cash transport institutions (CIT) to other locations, usually counting and accounting rooms. These devices make it easy to transport banknotes and avoid fraudulent theft without evidence of the alteration of the bags.

Banknotes are generally stored in bulk. Its arrangement in an orderly manner, necessary to allow the stages of treatment, is carried out in the counting and accounting rooms, in a manual way, after the opening of the bags. This requires, by the staff of the counting and accounting rooms, treatment times and costs that are not negligible. Hence the need to obtain an orderly storage of banknotes in transport bags.

In order to reduce the times before counting the banknotes transported in the bag, there are storage equipment that stores the banknotes in packed batteries and with already counted values. However, these equipment are expensive and only suitable for installations of high commercial activities.

Also known are bank storage devices, which organize banknotes in an orderly manner and provide stacking in specialized bags. In summary, these bags are previously formed to obtain support bases in the lower part of the bag for a progressive stacking of banknotes, which are received by stock.

These devices are quite complex and require the use of preformed bags that are quite expensive.

GB 2469814 discloses a sealing device for a bag containing banknotes. Banknotes are deposited in bulk through the opening of the bag and once the bag is full, the sealing bands proceed to seal the bag.

US 2011/052363 discloses a device for stacking banknotes comprising a bag that is sealed by means of welding after it has been filled with banknotes and a bag holder that holds the bag in a position open, so that banknotes are deposited inside.

WO02 / 01514 discloses a platform device for keeping a stack of stored banknotes. Banknotes being deposited on the platform that moves down when the number of stacked banknotes increases.

Summary of the invention

An object of the invention is to provide an orderly storage device for banknotes in a sack, which results in a relatively low cost and uses sacks of a simple structure.

According to this object, the storage device of the present invention comprises a platform that defines a groove intended to be traversed by a section of the bag below the inlet edges and such that a narrowed part is formed in the bag together with the slot and a cuvette portion in a section of the bag above said platform and in which the cuvette portion has the function of receiving banknotes that are falling into a stacking state, while the platform temporarily holds the banknotes received in the bucket portion, in accordance with the characteristic part of the main claim.

Detailed description of preferred embodiments

An orderly storage device 31 for banknotes 32 in a sack is represented in Figure 1. The device 31 can be used in a StEq collection equipment for banknotes 32, not shown in the figures. Banknotes 32 leave an exit area of the StEq equipment, with the movement in a direction M parallel to the longest edge of the banknotes.

The storage device 31 schematically comprises a pair of retaining members 34a and 34b of the edges for holding the bag 33 in a substantially vertical position and in which the inlet edges 36a and 36b of the bag may be separated away from each other for the reception of bank notes 32 by stock and in a state of substantial stacking, in a stack 37 (figure 5).

According to the invention, the storage device 31 includes a platform 38 defining a slot 39 (Figure 1) that extends for a length SILn slightly greater than the width W of the bag 33 and a width SIWd less than the height of the 32 banknotes of smaller dimensions.

The groove 39 is provided to be traversed by a section 41 (Figure 5) of the bag 33 below the edges 36a, 36b and in such a way that it forms a narrowing 42 and allows the formation of a portion 43 of the cuvette in a section of the bag above the platform 38. The tray portion 43 has the function of receiving the banknotes 32 in the broth and in the stack, while the platform 38 temporarily holds the stack 37 of the bills received in the portion 43 bucket.

The platform 38 is capable of moving vertically between an upper HP loading position of the banknotes, when the bag is empty, and a lower LP position of maximum filling for the bag.

The storage device 31 (Figure 1) comprises movement means 46 and sealing means 47. The movement means 46 are provided to move the platform 38 between the upper HP position and the lower LP position, after the progressive storage of banknotes 32 in the tray portion 43. The sealing means 47 are provided for welding the opposite faces 48a, 48b of the bag 33 at the end of the storage, while the movement means 46 also ensure the return of the platform 38 in the upper HP position, after removal from the bag 33 soldier.

The bag 33 used by the device 31 is formed by a wrapper container (see Figure 2) which, therefore, has no reinforcements between the opposite faces 48a, 48b. The bag 33 is made of plastic material and can be of a flattened tubular type, with lateral edges 49l and 49r and a lower edge 51. The edges 49l and 49r have respective folds devoid of bellows, while the bottom edge 51 is obtained by welding, with a minimal cost. The bag 33 has respective mounting elements to be engaged 52-1, 52-2, 52-3 and 52-4 near each of the input edges 36a, 36b, for a functional connection with the elements 53-1, 53-2, 53-3 and 53-4 of corresponding clamping of the members 34a and 34b of retaining the edges.

In the storage device 31, the fasteners 53-1, 53-2, 53-3 and 53-4 are formed by substantially vertical or almost vertical pins. In turn, the envelope-shaped bags, which constitute the bags 33, are defined as mounting elements for engaging 52-1, 52-2, 52-3 and 52-4, respective holes or grooves to engage with the pins .

In particular, for the envelope-shaped bag that constitutes the bag 33 of width W, the hooking elements 52-1, 52-2, 52-3 and 52-4 extend for an internal fraction, for example 3/4 of the width W. the objective is to free the parts near the lateral edges 49l and 49r. This allows the deployment of the folds for the conformation of the portion 43 of the cuvette in the state in which the edges 36a, 36b are spaced apart with the elements for engaging 52-1, 52-2, 52-3 and 52-4 retained by the elements 53-1, 53-2, 53-3 and 53-4 fastening.

The storage device 31 also comprises vertical glutton elements for the platform, a motor for a downward movement and an ascent return of the platform and a movement converter to convert a rotation movement generated by the motor to the downward movement and to the ascent return of the platform. These components can be of any known type.

An embodiment of the invention is described herein, the platform 38 is part of a support member that includes a vertical section or sections 56, which have the possibility of sliding vertically on a support wall 57 of the device 31. To guide the movement of the platform 38, a pin and groove connection is provided between the section or sections 56 of the vertical support member and the support wall 57. By way of example, this connection comprises two grooves 59 in the wall 57 and a series of pins 58 in the section or sections 56 of the support member, and in which the pins 58 have respective retaining heads.

The movement means 46 comprise, for example, a motor 61 and pinion mechanism 62 and rack 63. The motor 61 is mounted in the vertical section or in one of the vertical sections 56 of the support member and is operatively connected with the pinon 62, while the zipper 63 is fixed on the support wall 57.

Alternatively, the displacement means for the support member include a screw-nut coupling. The screw is driven by a respective motor and extends vertically in the support 57. The motor is mounted on the support 57, while the screw nut is fixedly mounted with respect to the platform 38.

The device 31 also includes level detection means, not shown, to detect the level of the stack 37 of stored banknotes 32, and respective control means, which are also not shown, of the movement means 46. For example, the level detection means may comprise photoelectric sensors or counting means for the number of stored banknotes. Sealing means 47 may include a pair of bars 66a and 66b operating pressure and welding on faces 48a and 48b of bag 33.

Optionally, the storage device 31 may also include guide wings and thrust elements with drive mechanisms, not shown, to improve the stockpiling of banknotes 32 in the bag portion 43 of the bag 33.

The operation of the device 31 provides an initialization phase with the insertion of the lower part of the bag 33 into the slot 39 (figure 5), in the upper HP position of the platform 38. Next, the elements to be engaged 52-1, 52-2, 52-3 and 52-4 are coupled to the elements 53-1, 53-2, 53-3 and 53-4 for holding the members 34a and 34b of retaining the edges, forming an entry area of the bag 33. The groove 39 determines the narrowing 42 and allows the formation of the cuvette portion 43 in the bag 33. It can be adjusted manually or by means of the guide wings, if present.

As an alternative to the narrowing that defines the groove in the platform 38 of a fixed value, a groove of varying width is provided. A manual or automatic actuation mechanism is provided to extend the width of the groove to facilitate the positioning of an empty bag 33 in the device 31 and to set the width of the groove to the optimized value, when the bag is correctly mounted.

The storage device 31 is now ready to receive, by broth, the banknotes 32 leaving the collection equipment StEq and in substantial stacking conditions, the battery 37 forming at the bottom of the portion 43 of the bucket, with the platform support 38.

With the increase in the height of the stack 37, the respective control means actuate the movement means 46 by gradually lowering the platform 38 in order to keep the top of the stack 37 at a substantially constant level with respect to to the exit zone of the StEq device. As a consequence of the weight of the stack 37 and / or the action of the thrust elements, the narrowing 42 moves down to the height LP of maximum filling. The banknotes 32 continue with the filling of the bag 33, while the lateral edges 49l and 49r approach the smaller-sized edges of the banknotes 32, adapting the shape of the bag 33 to the block constituted by the stack 37 , as shown in figure 7.

The platform 38 is lowered further at the end of the storage, or when the height LP corresponding to the maximum capacity of the bag 33 has been reached. The bag 33 is now free and the bottom of the stack 37 rests on the bottom edge 51, adapting its shape to that of the bottom of the stack 37.

The storage of the banknotes is completed with the operation of the pressure bars 66a and 66b and 15 welding in a welding zone 67 of the bag 33 above the stack 37. In this area, the bars 66a and 66b move the faces 48a, 48b, towards each other, and allow the soldier of the bag 33, together with a pressure action, in a manner known per se, resulting in the configuration shown in Figure 10.

Conveniently, the bag 33 is provided with a pair of reinforcing strips 69a and 69b welded to the faces 48a, 48b (Figure 2) below the welding zone 67 to avoid transverse ripples in the bag near the welding zone 20 . For example, strips 69a and 69b may consist of strips of Mylar or a similar material.
