Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una nueva mezcla de hidratos de carbono y a su utilización para la preparación de un producto alimenticio destinado a la alimentación vía oral o enteral, en especial para la alimentación del paciente diabético y en particularpara la alimentación del paciente de diabetes de tipo Il y su comorbilidad asociada. La mezcla de hidratos de carbono de Ia presente invención está constituida por almidón resistente de tipo IVo RS IV (maltodextrina modificada), maltodextrina de baja dextrosa equivalente DE = 5-8, preferentemente DE igual a 6, inulina y celulosa y está exenta de fructosa.

En una forma de realización de la invención, la mezcla de hidratos de carbono de la presente invención contiene además un aditivo edulcorante, preferentemente acesulfame potásico, y/o un estabilizante, preferentemente carragenato I. Preferentemente, la proporción de estos aditivos presente en la mezcla es del 0,32% para el edulcorante y del 0,22% para el estabilizante, porcentajes con respecto a la cantidad total de mezcla.
La maltodextrina modificada o almidón resistente de tipo IV, que constituye el 50,98% de los hidratos de carbono presentes en la mezcla de la invención, se incorpora a la mezcla de hidratos de carbono de la invención en forma del producto comercial Nutriose® FM06, de la firma Roquette.
