Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a la identificación por primera vez de microorganismos de origen gastrointestinal humano, que pueden producir urolitinas, a procedimientos de producción de dichos compuestos, al uso de dichos compuestos así producidos en la elaboración de formulaciones alimenticias, farmacéuticas, complementos dietéticos o alimentarios y alimentos funcionales, así como la elaboración de composiciones probióticas mediante la incorporación de microorganismos productores de urolitinas y a un método de aislamiento, de detección y de cuantificación de microorganismos productores de urolitinas basado en el uso de un fragmento de ADN capaz de detectar específicamente los microorganismos productores de urolitinas.
