Improvements in needle assemblies in Pelton hydraulic impulse turbines, characterized in that it comprises a cylindrical internal bearing in the wall of the inlet pipe leading to the respective nozzle, a sleeve that lines the inlet tube and is mounted so that it slides axially in the bearing cylindrical and needle supporting means extending inward from the sleeve to the needle so that the sleeve supports the needle but is coaxially spaced around it and defines a passage for free flow of water with the inlet tube beyond the needle.
