Abstract
Radiator cap arrangement, for its adaptation to a radiator filling neck having a tubular side wall and an annular ridge projecting inwardly and facing upwards and which is positioned at the bottom of the side wall and around an opening of the radiator cap. Filling, said arrangement comprising a plug to fit over the upper end of the filling neck; a first annular sealing member and seal mounting means mounting said first annular sealing member from the cap so as to cooperate with the flange of the filling neck when the cap is adapted to the filling neck and including forcing means for loading the sealing element against the flange in order to form a primary seal; characterized by a second sealing element having a cylindrical skirt extending from the plug in order to protrude from the inside of the side wall of the filling neck, an annular flange projecting outwardly from the end corresponding to the skirt plug, a first annular sealing surface on the annular flange to cooperate with the edge of the filling neck at the upper end of said side wall and a second annular sealing surface on said skirt for cooperating with the inner peripheral surface of the side wall of the filling neck and forming thus a circumferential seal around said wall when the plug is placed in the filling neck.
