2. Statement motivated according to articles 29.6 and 29.7 of the Regulations for the execution of Law 11/1986, of March 20, on Patents on novelty and inventive activity; quotes and explanations in support of this statement

Document D01, considered as the most representative of the state of the art, discloses a work table comprising a worktop arranged on a supporting substructure formed by legs between which a vertebral beam extends. Two longitudinal compartments accessible from the side of said beam allow the provision of various wiring and connectors, said longitudinal compartments being related to compartments inside the structure of the legs, in turn constituted by a frame that closes with a cover. The invention defined in claims 1 and 2 would not differ from the known technique described in document D01 in any essential way, the differences consisting of normal design options known in the field of the technique in which the invention is framed. It could be argued that, in view of document D01, it would not require any inventive effort for a person skilled in the art to arrive at the invention as set forth in claims 1 and 2 of the application document, which, consequently, they would not imply inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP11 / 1986).

With respect to claims 3 to 5, they describe technical characteristics known in the state of the art (as can be seen, for example, in document D02) and, therefore, would be evident to a person skilled in the art. Therefore, claims 3 to 5 would not imply inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP11 / 1986).

Referring to claim 7, a monitor support device that is fastened on the vertebral beam of the worktable and through which the connection cables of said monitors can run is disclosed, for example, in document D03 . It could be deduced that a person skilled in the art would attempt to combine the main parts of document D03 with document D01 of the closest prior art to obtain the characteristics of claim 7 and have a reasonable expectation of success. Therefore, the invention according to claim 7 would not imply inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP11 / 1986).

As for claim 8, document D04 discloses accessories which, in prolongation with the vertebral beam, allow the association of consecutive jobs in curved assemblies, as set forth in said claim, which could lead us to believe that the person skilled in the art would try to apply these characteristics to document D01, so that the object of claim 8 was obtained. Therefore, said claim would not imply inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP11 / 1986).

Finally, although the incorporation of lighting with LEDs to the furniture is known in the state of the art (see, for example, document D07), it would not be obvious for a person skilled in the art to apply the characteristics of the cited documents and arrive at the invention as disclosed in claim 6. Therefore, the object of said claim would meet the requirements of novelty, inventive activity and industrial application (Art. 6,8,9 LP11 / 1986).

Documents D05 and D06 are considered other documents representative of the state of the art.
