Pallet container with side walls and lid.

The invention relates to a container, in particular a pallet container, having a bottom, side walls and a cover pivotally arranged in one of the side walls, as well as sliding bearings, in which the lid is fixed and those that are attached to an upper edge of a side wall with the help of hinges and by means of which the cover is mounted displaceably in a vertical direction to the upper edge.

Such a container is known by document WOOO / 30946. In the upper corners of a side wall are pivotally arranged, around a pivot pin, angular pivoting guides, whose upper flange grips an angular side bar, placed on an outer edge of the cover, by a lower flange, and along which the lid can be moved.

From W091 / 12999 a transport container is known, the lid of which comprises flanges provided with an elongated notch. Through the notches are guided rack bars of the container that are arranged in corners of the transport container and along which the lid can be moved.

In other containers known for their use, the lid is fixed with a hinge on the wall of the container. To load the container, the lid must be kept open by hand or pivoted approximately 270 ° above the wall of the container, until it reaches a stable position. The execution of this pivoting movement requires a correspondingly large space behind the container. In particular, container covers with a larger size cannot be placed in the stable position from the side of the container opposite to the hinges, since the lid must be guided for this at a distance impossible to reach by hand.

The invention aims to create a container of the type mentioned at the beginning with an improved fixing of the lid.

According to the invention, this objective is achieved by attaching the hinges on the upper edge of a side wall to

A distance from its corners.

To open the container, the lid is first pivoted slightly from its closed position, where it rests high on the side walls, then pushed on the upper edge or the hinges and finally it continues to pivot towards the outer side of the wall side, on which the hinges are fixed, until it is located or suspended here in the stable position.

Since the lid pivots here only 90 · and moves at the same time, behind and above the container according to the

invention essentially requires less space than in known containers. If the lid is lifted

A lid of a large container, for example, a pallet container, can also be opened and closed from the side of the container opposite the hinges, since the lid can also be reached by hand also in the open position.

The fixed part of the sliding bearing is conveniently attached to the hinges and to the moving part of the sliding bearing is fixed in the cover.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the fixed part is a bushing preferably created in the form of a single piece with the hinge and the mobile part is a bar fixed on the cover.

The lid is conveniently provided with a support, with which it can be suspended or supported on the upper edge, on which the hinges are fixed. Therefore, the lid can be placed in a stable open position, where it protrudes upwards from the mentioned upper edge.

In a preferred configuration of the invention, the side walls are joined at the vertical edges of the container and can be folded. The side walls in the folded state are adjusted to the bottom and below the lid and can thus be packed flat so that together with the bottom and the lid a closed package is created. The folded container occupies essentially less space than the unfolded container, for example, in the return transport.

Although it would be possible to arrange the side walls in an octagonal or other folding form, in a preferred configuration of the invention, the container is in the form of a parallelepiped in the unfolded state and the side walls, which border the side wall provided with hinges, are provided in its center with a folding line parallel to the vertical edges of the container. If the side walls are folded, the parts of the side wall, separated by the fold line, are placed against each other and between the other two side walls.

The bottom is conveniently provided at its edge with a circumferential groove, in which the side walls can be inserted and thus supported and held in a resistant manner.

In a particularly preferred configuration of the invention, one of the side walls is joined at its bottom edge with the bottom by another hinge and the hinge is mounted in the bottom in a way that can be moved vertically to the bottom plane.

The lid, the side walls and the bottom are always joined together in both the unfolded and folded state and there is no longer the danger of losing a part of the container. For the transport of the container, additional attachment means are no longer needed in particular.

If the container is unfolded, the hinge joint is housed in the groove and during folding it travels in the distance from the bottom, in which the side wall, joined with the bottom, is located on the other side walls. In this way, the hinge can be displaced at least in a section corresponding to the sum of the thicknesses of the other side walls.

The mentioned hinges are advantageously arranged in the upper edge and the lower edge of the same side wall.

For the assembly of the container, the folded side walls together with the lid pivot vertically to the bottom. Next, the side walls are deployed and can be inserted into the bottom grooves.

In order to achieve a better fixation of the side walls at the bottom, interlocking resins are provided in the groove provided for the grooving in grooves of the side walls.

Although it is possible to manufacture the container in all possible sizes and shapes, the bottom preferably has molded depressions downward as feet, among which there is space to engage the fork lift of a forklift.

In another configuration of the invention another interlocking element is provided, held by a spring in an interlocking position and movable with the foot towards the open position, for the gear in a notch arranged in that side wall.

The side walls are anchored better at the bottom by the interlocking element.

If the interlocking element moves from its closed position, the side walls can be removed at the same time

of the slot with both hands.

The container, identified with the number 1, has a bottom 2, side walls 3a to 3d and a lid 4.

The bottom 2 is made of a molded piece of plastic and has in its four corners 30 feet that are molded as depressions of the bottom 2 and between which there is space to engage a fork lift of a forklift. As can be seen in Figures 5 and 7, the bottom 2 is provided at its edge with a circumferential groove 11. Figures Be and 7 show that it has two interlocking projections 12 that are joined together on their two shorter sides respectively with the bottom 2 through a nerve and protrude to the side.

The four side walls 3a through 3d are made of a plastic material, made approximately in the form of corrugated cardboard, and are welded on their side edges so that they can be folded by them. In addition, the shorter side walls 3c, 3d are provided at their center with a folding line 29 that is parallel to the edges 9 and is also welded.

As is especially derived from Figures 6a and 6b, the side walls 3c, 3d are provided in each case with two recesses 13 reinforced with plastic and provided for the engagement of the interlocking projections 12. The side walls 3c, 3d present in their upper side other notch 28.

A loading hatch 24 is provided on the front side wall 3a.

On the lower side of the rear side wall 3b are arranged two hinges 15 that join the bottom 2 and the side wall 3b together.

As shown in Figures 5 and 8, the hinge 15 is mounted on the bottom 2 in a displaceable manner in a vertical direction. At the bottom of the groove 11 there is provided a hole that forms the fixed part of a bearing for the hinge 15 and in which a part 16 of the hinge 15 is guided movably in a vertical direction. A molded element 33 on the bottom side of the part protects the hinge 15 against the exit of the hole. The part 18 of the hinge 15, located on the other side of the hinge joint 17, is joined in an articulated manner with the rear wall 3b.

The upper side of the side wall 3b is provided with two other hinges 6, a part of the hinges 6 being fixed respectively on an upper side of the rear wall 3b at a distance from its corners and a bearing bushing 27 being formed on the other part 7 respectively by a drill.

As derived from Figure 2, the cover 4 has a bell shape slightly and is provided at its edge with protruding side walls 30 that fit the edge of the bottom 2. It also has three handles 22, as well as two windows 23.

In Figures 2 and 4 it can be seen that on the inner side of the cover 4 two bars 26 are arranged parallel to their edges. The bars 26 are fixed on the side walls 30 of the cover 4 at such a distance from the wall of the cover that they can be displaced in the bearing bushings 27 of the hinges 6.

As derived from Figures 3b and 4, the cover 4 is also provided with projections 8 on its intended side.

To bring the container 1 from the closed position shown in Figure 1 to the open position shown in Figure 2, the lid 4 is held by the handle 22, pivoted slightly upwards when the side of the lid resting on the front wall 3a, the cover 4 is pushed in the direction of the rear wall 3b until the protrusions 8 make contact with the upper edge of the rear wall 3b. In this regard, the bars 26 slide in the bearing bushes 27 of the hinges 6. The cover 4 is pivoted simultaneously until the inner side of the cover 4 is made contact with the outer side of the rear wall 3b.

The container 1 is closed when the lid 4 is pivoted in the opposite direction and when it is dragged again on the side walls 3a to 3d of the container 1.

In order to fold the container 1, the cover 4 must be moved beyond the projections 8 from the open position, shown in figure 6a, until the bearing bushes 27 make contact with an edge 30 of the cover 4 (see figure 6b ). the side walls 3a to 3d are removed after the groove 11 by the notches 28 provided as handles, the side walls 3c, 3d moving from an interlocking position of the interlocking projections 12 in the recesses 13, and the walls bending inwards sides 3c, 3d along its folding line 29, so that the side walls 3b, 3c and 3d are placed vertically on the bottom 2, as shown in Figures 6b and 7.

The side walls are then folded when the front wall 3a is pushed in the direction of the rear wall 3b, until the side walls 3a to 3d are joined.

The side walls 3a to 3d can then be pivoted together with the cover 4 in the direction of the bottom 2 until resting on the bottom 2. In this respect, the part 16 of the hinge 15 movably mounted continues to move upwards, while the part of the hinge 15 connected to the rear wall 3b is still pivoted, as is derived in particular from Figures 5 and 8. The thrust and pivot direction is indicated in Figure 8b by arrows identified with the letters t and r. As derived in particular from Figures 5 (c) and (d), the hinge 15 can be moved here at least so that the hinge joint 17 can be arranged at the same distance from the bottom 2 as the side wall 3b with respect to the bottom 2 when resting on it in a folded state with the other side walls 3a, 3c, 3d.

In the folded state, the side edges of the cover 4 and the bottom 2 surround the folded side walls 3a through 3d.

As derived in particular from Figure 6, the container occupies an essentially smaller space in the folded state than in the unfolded state.

As shown in Figures 9 and 10, at the bottom 2, on the side of the bottom 2 opposite the side, on which the hinges 15 arranged in the lower edge are mounted, a groove 40 is provided for an interlocking element 41 in the bottom wedge and a pedal 42 connected to the interlocking element 41. The interlocking element 41 is held by a spring 45 in its interlocking position, in which it engages in the groove 11. The interlocking element 41 is provided to engage in a notch 43 in the front side wall 3a and thus hold the side wall 3a in the groove 11. The pedal 42, guided towards the outer side of the bottom 2, can press the locking element 41 with the foot against the force of the spring 45 from the interlocking position. The side wall 3a can then be removed from the slot 11.

As derived in particular from Figure 10, at the bottom 2, above the interlocking element 41, a covering element 44 provided with a notch 43 is provided. Through the notch 43 it is possible to manually actuate the interlocking element 41 also from the upper side of the bottom 2. As shown in Figure 10 (c), the interlocking element 41 is grooved in an essentially rectangular plate 46 which has a groove 47 almost in its center that allows the hand-operated element to be operated by hand. interlocking 41. On the side of the plate 46, which is opposed to the interlocking element 41, two elastic arms are arranged which form the spring 45 and are configured in a single piece with the plate 46, as well as rest against an extension of the element of cover 44 if the interlocking element 41 is placed in an open position.
