Apparatus for the treatment of yarns comprising a conduit for yarn and for fluid, means for introducing the yarn terminating in the conduit and forming an angle between about 120 and about 180º with it, a fluid inlet path that ends in the duct approximately at the point of intersection with the means for introducing the thread and also forming an angle of between 120 and 180º with the duct, cutting the wire insertion means and the fluid entry path at an angle of between about 30 and about 120º, and preferably a means of obstructing the fluid located in the fluid inlet immediately upstream of the wire introducing means, to partly prevent the passage of the fluid.
