Abstract

Multilayer element

The present invention consists of a multilayer element intended to be used as an object of support and friction adaptable to different body areas and of particular application in the footwear industry for the manufacture of insoles, soles or platforms for footwear, as well as in the floor covering industry for the manufacture of carpets or similar and also in the furniture and automotive industry for seats, backrest bases and back covers, since the layer of coverage of the multilayer element allows for the mobility of its components Natural rigid produce a gentle massage in areas of the body to which it is applied.

The multilayer element, object of the invention, has the particularity of being made up of a first layer of multiple small pieces of a natural and ecological material such as properly matched and treated wood, which are adhered separately to a second rubber sheet layer fl exible so that the pieces of the first layer in contact with the human body have sufficient mobility to press at different points to the areas to which it is applied producing a massage without the possibility of excoriations or wounds to which aeration channels contribute formed between the pieces for the ventilation of the body areas in friction with said cover layer.

The element con fi gured with only these two layers is already capable of serving as the basis for the manufacture of insoles for footwear or covers for the cover of furniture or vehicle seats since the multilayer element being provided with an outer layer of wood chips with mobility it has the ability to produce a massage effect on the feet, back or buttocks of a user, providing a general well-being of rest.

The element can be formed with more layers to achieve a more consistent structure, for which it has a third layer consisting of multiple pieces of rubber of different resistance to deformation, which are associated with a fourth sheet of flexible rubber so that they alternate a piece of hard rubber with another piece of soft rubber and in a position to keep said rubber parts below the wooden pieces, when the whole set of layers are joined.

This arrangement of the rubber pieces in vertical coincidence with the wooden pieces allows that when pressing on said wooden pieces they have different mobility due to the different resistance to deformation of the lower rubber pieces which causes a greater massage effect about the body areas to which it applies.

This element with more number of layers is easily applicable in the manufacture of carpets for floor covering, for the manufacture of backrests and bases of furniture seats or vehicles and covers for them, as well as can be applied in manufacturing of soles for slippers or walking shoes at home that do not require excessive protection against sole wear.

Finally, the multilayer element could have a fifth layer more resistant to friction formed by rubber studs that are associated with the base of the fourth laminar layer below the previous pieces in order to manufacture footwear platforms more resistant to wear .

In the current state of the art soles are known for footwear that produce a foot massage for which effect the soles formed in a single piece of rubber entail a series of ribs or reliefs highlighted on the base of support of the foot in the sole that when walking on it produces a massage on the user's feet.

This conventional type of soles for footwear has the disadvantage that since the nerves are forming a single body with the rubber sole they have no possibility of movement and they are always interlocking in the same place of the sole of the foot creating chafing or excoriations with the time that make the use of footwear impossible.

It is also known the existence of soles for footwear that are made of a solid wooden body and that being of a natural and ecological material is very beneficial for the feet. However, this type of sole has the disadvantage that, since the sole of pieces is not constituted, it does not have any mobility to produce a pleasant foot massage effect.

Also this type of sole also has the disadvantage that although they are made of a natural and ecological material such as wood, they are not breathable so that sweat can cause chafing on the feet.

To solve these problems, the present invention brings to the market a multilayer element that is characterized in that the top or cover layer is constituted by a series of small pieces of wood or smoothed veneer and treated with variable contours with rounded edges and vertices that they are arranged separately on a second layer in the form of a flexible rubber sheet which favors the mobility of the wooden pieces, which are attached to the rubber sheet by means of adhesives or in the same molding operation of the rubber sheet, conforming between the different pieces of wood a series of aeration or ventilation channels of the body areas in contact or friction with said cover layer.

Likewise, the invention is characterized in that, under the two shaped layers, a third layer consisting of a combination of small pieces of elastic rubber of different resistance to deformation and of variable contours that are associated on a fourth layer in the form of a sheet of foil can be arranged. flexible rubber alternating the rubber parts by their different resistance and in vertical coincidence with the wooden pieces of the first layer, so that when pressing the wooden pieces of the cover layer they will have different mobility due to the different deformation resistance which present the rubber parts located below said wooden pieces, creating a greater massage effect on the body areas to which it is applied.

Figure 7 shows a perspective view of a multilayer element of five layers, the last layer being formed with friction-resistant studs that are associated with the base of the fourth laminar layer.

The different components that make up the multilayer element, object of the invention, are set forth and listed below.

Observing the first and second figures, it can be seen without difficulty that the multilayer element is composed of a first layer or cover layer (1) consisting of multiple pieces of wood or sanding and treated wood veneer (2) of variable contours and provided with edges (3) and vertices (4) rounded or flattened to prevent chafing or excoriation in contact with body areas.

Said pieces of wood (2) are arranged separated from each other (5) on a second layer (6) in the form of a flexible rubber sheet (7) to which they are joined by adhesive means (8) or through the rubber itself. the same molding operation of the sheet layer (9) that is likely to have a defined contour such as a shoe insole as shown in the second figure.

This ensures that the pieces of wood (2) have some mobility on the flexible rubber sheet (7) causing said movement the pressure or friction of the surface of the pieces of wood on different points of the body areas to which apply producing the effect of a massage of the area.

With this arrangement of the wooden pieces on the rubber sheet, channels or aeration passages (10) are also created between the pieces that allow the ventilation of the body areas (11) in contact and friction with the wooden layer.

As can be seen in the first figure, the element con fi gured with these two layers (1) and (6) allows the manufacture of covers or laminar covers for a backrest and seat base of a piece of furniture or of a vehicle, whose upper layer (1) of pieces of wood (2) is capable of producing a massage on the back and / or buttocks of the user, providing a general well-being of rest.

Likewise, the rubber sheet layer (6) in the form of a template acts as a support for the layer (1) of pieces of wood (2) that remain attached to the template during the molding operation (9), which allows cause a massage of the user's feet, as seen in the second figure represented.

In the third and fourth, fifth and sixth figures it can be seen that below the formed layers (1) and (6) a third layer (12) is constituted consisting of a combination of small pieces of hard elastic rubber (13) and by other small pieces of soft elastic rubber (13 ') and therefore said rubber parts have different resistance to deformation when pressure is exerted on them.

Said rubber parts are associated separated from each other (14) on a fourth layer (15) in the form of a flexible rubber sheet (16), alternating elastic rubber parts (13) and (13 ') of different resistance to deformation and in vertical coincidence with the wooden pieces (2) of the first layer (1).

All this is arranged so that when pressing the wooden pieces (2) of the cover layer

(1) they will have different mobility due to the different resistance that the rubber parts (13) and (13 ') located under said wood pieces oppose deformation, creating a greater massage effect on the body areas (11) to which it applies.

This element with greater number of layers and therefore more consistent can serve as a basis for the manufacture of floor covering carpets or as covers for furniture or vehicle seats, as well as covers for them, as can observe the multilayer element in the fifth figure.

Likewise, this multilayer element can be applied to the manufacture of soles for slippers or walking shoes at home that do not require excessive wear protection as can be seen in the sole of the sixth figure.

Finally, as seen in the seventh figure, the multilayer element could have a fifth layer (17) formed by friction-resistant rubber blocks (18) that are attached to the base of the fourth layer (15) of sheet of flexible rubber (16) and in vertical extension with the rubber parts (13) and (13 ') of the third layer (12) and the wooden parts

(2) of the cover layer (1).

This multilayer element serves as the basis for its application in footwear platforms for the manufacture of sandals, flip flops, shoes, etc.

As seen in any of the drawings and in the description, the second layer is made of wood sheets (line 3, column 1). - "... with rounded edges ..." The edges are shaped so as not to damage the skin. In drawings 1, 4 and 9, and on line 56 of column 2, the document D01 refers to this technical characteristic. - "... second layer in the form of flexible rubber sheet ..." In drawings 9 and 10 the flexible sheet (2) is seen and in line 35 of column 2 document D01 describes this technical feature - "... the pieces of wood ... are attached to the rubber sheet by means of adhesives or in the same molding operation ..." These two procedures are part of the usual set in this technology sector and would be within reach of the skilled. Therefore, although this claim is novel, it is not considered to have inventive activity. - "... conforming between the pieces of wood a series of aeration or ventilation channels ..."
