Esta Unidad Principal posee sobre el panel frontal un display que permite verificar el modo de funcionamiento del foto-estimulador (ver Figura 2). La selección del color de la luz se comanda desde el joystick y, a través del microprocesador y su software, emite los pulsos que son procesados por los integrados U5 y U6 para habilitar una sola de las secciones del integrado U7 o U8.
