Abstract
Circuit device for converting a signal covering a wide band of frequencies into two signals whose frequency bands start with the frequency "zero" and whose bandwidth is less, preferably half, of the original signal, intended especially for recording in several tracks on a signal record carrier, preferably of magnetic procedure, as well as for the faithful conversion in amplitude and phase until obtaining again the primitive wide band, characterized by the use of two modulators in which the signal is modulated with oscillations whose frequencies are identical and located within the broad band of the signal, preferably approximately in the center thereof, and whose phases differ by 90ยบ; and, in addition, to use for the reconversion two modulators in which the lower lateral bands of the two signals obtained in the conversion are modulated; as well as by the use of an addition circuit in which the modulation products of both modulators are added.
