Abstract

Método para distribuir el desgaste en una pluralidad de hojas selectivamente extensibles en un elemento (12) giratorio, que comprende las etapas de: extender un primer conjunto de hojas (18) en el elemento (12) giratorio, en el cada una de las hojas del primer conjunto de hojas está separada de otra por una primera distancia en el elemento (12) giratorio; y retraer ocasionalmente el primer conjunto de hojas (18) y extender un segundo conjunto de hojas (18), teniendo cada hoja (18) en el segundo conjunto de hojas (18) una relación espacial deseada en relación con una hoja (18) correspondiente en el primer conjunto de hojas (18) y estando cada una separada de las hojas (18) próximas en el segundo conjunto de hojas (18) por una distancia sustancialmente igual a la primera distancia, distribuyéndose así el uso de hojas (18) entre cada una de la pluralidad hojas selectivamente extensibles al tiempo que se mantiene una distancia deseada entre las hojas en el primer conjunto de hojas (18) y las hojas (18) en el segundo conjunto de hojas (18).

Claims (3)

1. Método para distribuir el desgaste en una pluralidad de hojas selectivamente extensibles en un elemento (12) giratorio, que comprende las etapas de:
extender un primer conjunto de hojas (18) en el elemento (12) giratorio, en el cada una de las hojas del primer conjunto de hojas está separada de otra por una primera distancia en el elemento (12) giratorio; y
retraer ocasionalmente el primer conjunto de hojas (18) y extender un segundo conjunto de hojas (18), teniendo cada hoja (18) en el segundo conjunto de hojas (18) una relación espacial deseada en relación con una hoja (18) correspondiente en el primer conjunto de hojas (18) y estando cada una separada de las hojas (18) próximas en el segundo conjunto de hojas (18) por una distancia sustancialmente igual a la primera distancia, distribuyéndose así el uso de hojas (18) entre cada una de la pluralidad hojas selectivamente extensibles al tiempo que se mantiene una distancia deseada entre las hojas en el primer conjunto de hojas (18) y las hojas (18) en el segundo conjunto de hojas (18).
2. Método según la reivindicación 1 para usar en el corte de una banda (22) que está pasando por el elemento (12) giratorio, comprendiendo además el método la etapa de activar selectivamente una pluralidad de aberturas (16) de vacío para proporcionar un vacío para retener la banda (22) en el elemento giratorio mientras se corta la banda (22).
3. Método según la reivindicación 2, que comprende además la etapa de indexar automáticamente las aberturas (16) de vacío activadas de manera que el espaciado entre las aberturas (16) de vacío activadas y las hojas (18) extendidas permanezca igual mientras se indexan las hojas (18).
