La presente patente de invención se refiere a una brida estanca especialmente diseñada para su utilización en el empalme de tuberías para la conducción y transporte de fluidos a baja y alta presión, concretamente para el empalme de tuberías con extremos de diámetros exteriores diferentes y superficie lisa, cuya brida presenta unas características esenciales determinadas con relación a las existentes actualmente en el mercado, en especial a lo que se refiere a permitir sin problema alguno el empalme entre tuberías de diferente diámetro exterior, garantizando el ajuste y estanqueidad, así como la resistencia a las diversas tensiones que se producen durante el paso de los fluidos y que podrían provocar el desempalme de una o ambas tuberías.
