Abstract

The fabrication of a disposable nappy type product with channels comprises bonding of a top film to an absorbent core via adhesive, giving fluid permeability of the film. The film and the core are channeled by a channeller travelling at the same feed rate as the continuously-fed product. EMBODIMENT - The channels extend to 90 per cent of the core, and this is bonded to a bottom coating impermeable to the fluids of the product.
