El colector solar fotovoltaico de baja concentración y óptica de láminas prismáticas se caracteriza por el montaje de las células, dependiendo de su tamaño, en una o dos filas sobre una cara plana de un tubo rectangular u otro perfil que actúa como soporte, y por el empleo, como sistema óptico, de dos láminas prismáticas dispuestas longitudinalmente a ambos lados, por delante de la superficie de las células, que desvían la luz hasta dicha superficie.
