Abstract

Procedimiento para la obtención de polímeros de estireno expandibles (EPS), en el que se polimeriza estireno, en caso dado junto con hasta un 20 % de su peso en comonómeros, en suspensión acuosa en presencia de un 0,1 a un 25 % en peso de partículas de grafito, y de al menos dos peróxidos orgánicos A y B, que se descomponen a diferentes temperaturas, presentando el peróxido A un período de vida media de 1 hora a 80º C hasta 100º C, y el peróxido B un período de vida media de 1 hora a 110º C hasta 140º C, caracterizado porque el peróxido A que se descompone a menor temperatura no forma radicales benzoilo ni bencilo en la descomposición.
