Abstract
Electrodos para el reconocimiento electroquímico de especies iónicas o moleculares basados en membranas polisiloxanicas y su procedimiento de preparación. La invención consiste en la preparación de electrodos capaces de reconocer electroquímicamente iones metálicos u orgánicos y especies moleculares presentes en el seno de un fluido, generalmente agua. El desarrollo de dichos electrodos esta fundamentado en el empleo de recubrimientos de polímeros organopolisiloxánicos, preparados por métodos sol-gel, que constituyen una fina capa, homogénea y continua que es capaz de actuar como una membrana que discrimina el paso de iones o de moléculas hasta alcanzar una base o substrato conductor que actúa como colector de una señal eléctrica. La incorporación a la mencionada matriz polisiloxánica de diversos aditivos específicos, generalmente ionóforos, que interaccionen con las especies puestas en contacto o que sean capaces de permear a través de la membrana, permite que se genere una respuesta electroquímica concreta, directamente relacionada con la naturaleza de los iones o moléculas objeto de análisis.Electrodes for electrochemical recognition of ionic or molecular species based on polysiloxanic membranes and their preparation procedure. The invention consists in the preparation of electrodes capable of electrochemically recognizing metal or organic ions and molecular species present within a fluid, generally water. The development of these electrodes is based on the use of organopolysiloxane polymer coatings, prepared by sol-gel methods, which constitute a thin, homogeneous and continuous layer that is capable of acting as a membrane that discriminates the passage of ions or molecules up to reach a base or conductive substrate that acts as a collector of an electrical signal. The incorporation into the aforementioned polysiloxane matrix of various specific additives, generally ionophores, that interact with species contacted or that are capable of permeating through the membrane, allows a specific electrochemical response to be generated, directly related to the nature of the ions or molecules under analysis.
