ESTA INVENCION SE REFIERE A LA COMPRESION DE ERRORES DE PREDICCION EN SISTEMAS DE CODIFICACION DE VIDEO CON COMPENSACION DE MOVIMIENTO. LOS VECTORES DE MOVIMIENTO Y TRAMAS DE PREDICCION SE UTILIZAN PARA EXTRAER INFORMACION DE UTILIDAD SOBRE LAS PROPIEDADES DE LA SEÑAL DE ERROR DE PREDICCION, V.G., SU LOCALIZACION, DIRECCIONALIDAD, ETC. ESTA INFORMACION NO NECESITA TRANSMITIRSE PORQUE EL DESCODIFICADOR DEL SISTEMA PROPUESTO INCLUYE MEDIOS PARA EXTRAER ESTA INFORMACION.
