Abstract

New dietary-fibre preparations with the following composition, apart from excipients: 1. Carob-seed gum (Ceratonia siliqua) as sole constituent 2. Mesquite-seed gum (Prosopis spp.) as sole constituent 3. Mixtures of Ceratonia and Prosopis gums in any proportion as sole constituents 4. Formula consisting of Ceratonia and/or Prosopis gum, apple fibre, lemon fibre, inulin and cellulose. The formulae are prepared by mixing the aforesaid components together. The formula may have the form of capsules or granules or tablets, with the addition of appropriate excipients.
