EL MEDIO DE REACCION CONTIENE 3(METILTIO)PROPANAL, METILMERCAPTAN Y EL CATALIZADOR PARA LA REACCION ENTRE EL METILMERCAPTAN Y LA ACROLEINA. EL FLUJO ALIMENTADOR DE ACROLEINA GASEOSA INCLUYE VAPOR DE ACROLEINA Y UNA GAS NO CONDENSABLE. LA ACROLEINA ES TRANSFERIDA DESDE EL FLUJO ALIMENTADOR AL MEDIO DE REACCION, Y REACCIONA CON EL METILMERCAPTAN EN ESE MEDIO PARA PRODUCIR UN PRODUCTO DE REACCION LIQUIDA QUE CONTIENE 3-(METILTIO)PROPANAL.
