Abstract

Procedimiento y dispositivo para medir y controlar la densidad aparente y otras características de piezas cerámicas. El procedimiento cuenta con una primera etapa de toma de ecos ultrasónicos en distintas zonas de una pieza cerámica cruda (4), una segunda etapa de tratamiento de la señal eléctrica correspondiente a dichos ecos que permite obtener valores de densidad, y una tercera etapa de corrección de los valores inadecuados mediante prensado de la pieza cerámica (4). El dispositivo correspondiente consiste en un transductor ultrasónico (1) que se aplica sobre la pieza cerámica (4) con interposición opcional de un gel (5) y que se conecta a una tarjeta emisora/receptora de ultrasonidos (6) conectada a su vez a una tarjeta digitalizadora (2); estando instaladas estas tarjetas (2 y 6) en un ordenador (3) que incluye los programas adecuados para obtener valores de densidad a partir de los ecos facilitados por el transductor (1).Procedure and device to measure and control the bulk density and other characteristics of ceramic pieces.
