Abstract

Parabolic collector for the static capture of solar energy. An optical system that is able to produce Fraunhoffer diffraction characterised by the arrangement of a diffraction grating RD1 consisting of thin sheets of methyl polyacrylate supported by thin sheets of dark polystyrene or an arrangement of very fine grooves on a sheet of methyl polyacrylate that in both cases are able to produce Fraunhoffer diffraction and in this way the solar rays R that emerge parallel from the diffraction grating RD1 are directed towards the converging lenses L and form as an image a point or line characteristic of Fraunhoffer diffraction on the diffraction grating RD2, arranged in the same manner as the diffraction grating RD1. In this manner, the solar rays R travel through the diffraction grating RD2 and emerge parallel to the axis of the parabola so that they are concentrated at a point or line on the pipe T. <IMAGE>
