Abstract

A structure made of concrete which is prestressed by using a plurality of greased and sheathed strands (4) intimately embedded in a set mass over their entire length, except for their exposed ends which project out from this mass at positions which are slightly spaced apart transversely with respect to one another, the said mass consisting exclusively of the set concrete (2) constituting the essential part of the structure. The construction of this structure involves passing a perforated plate (16) over the said ends, this plate ensuring leakproofness only in respect of the cast concrete. <IMAGE>
