Abstract
METODO PARA DETERMINAR EL LUGAR DONDE SE ENCUENTRA UN FALLO EN UNA RED OPTICA LOCAL. EN EL CASO DE QUE SE PRODUZCA UN FALLO EN LA FIBRA, SE ALIMENTA UNA SEÑAL DE MEDIDA A LA RED, SE ANALIZA LA REACCION DE LA RED A DICHA SEÑAL DE MEDIDA Y SE CONVIERTE EN UNA INDICACION DEL LUGAR DONDE SE ENCUENTRA DICHO FALLO EN FIBRA. LA SEÑAL DE MEDIDA MODULA TAMBIEN LA SEÑAL DE SALIDA DE LA FUENTE OPTICA LUMINOSA, ADEMAS DE LA SEÑAL NORMAL. LA SEÑAL DE MEDIDA ES PREFERENTEMENTE UN SEÑAL DE OFDR, UNA SEÑAL QUE TIENE UNA FRECUENCIA QUE VARIA SEGUN UN PATRON DEFINIDO. LA SEÑAL REFLEJADA EN EL LUGAR DONDE SE ENCUENTRA EL FALLO DE LA FIBRA QUEDA CONVIERTA A UNA SEÑAL DE REFLEXION ELECTRICA. DICHA SEÑAL DE REFLEXION SE COMPARA CON LA SEÑAL DE MEDIDA ORIGINAL Y, POR MEDIO DE UN ANALISIS DE LA FRECUENCIA DE LAS DOS SEÑALES, SE CALCULA EL LUGAR DONDE SE ENCUENTRA EL FALLO DE LA FIBRA.
