EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN ELECTROLIZAR UN FLUJO PARCIAL DE ELECTROLITO DE CLORATO PRODUCIDO, EN UNA CUBA PROVISTA DE UN SEPARADOR, PARA PRODUCIR UN CATOLITO QUE CONTIENE HIDROXIDO DE METAL ALCALINO Y UN ANOLITO QUE CONTIENE ACIDO CLORHIDRICO. EL CATOLITO Y EL ANOLITO SE UTILIZAN EN ALCALINIZACION Y ACIDIFICACION EN EL PROCEDIMIENTO DEL CLORATO, REDUCIENDO ASI SIGNIFICATIVAMENTE LA INCORPORACION DE IMPUREZAS POR LOS PRODUCTOS QUIMICOS PRODUCIDOS EXTERNAMENTE.
