Abstract

The operating lever comprises a long grip piece (4), the free end of which with the foot support provided inwards is at least approx. directed pointing to the front side of the armchair (1), and by pivoting in the direction of the locating surface of the arm rest (5), the foot support (2) is released. The lever (4) is pivotable into a position for release of the back support pivoting movement backwards and downwards in which its free end points to the side of the arm rest facing the back support (3), and by pivoting in the direction of the locating surface of the arm rest operates the back support (3) so that it is released. Springs are used to move the foot support and the back support under the control of the operating lever. ADVANTAGE - A simple control mechanism for an armchair so that its back support can be tilted backwards, and a foot support extended outwards for use.
