Abstract

New system and corresponding device for the automatic determination of soil texture. The object of the invention is a new system for automatically determining the texture of soils, proposing a new device specially designed for putting the procedure into practice. This invention is used to determine the accumulation curve for suspended particles in a soil. The determination is carried out by means of a device that quantifies the thrust experienced by a fixed immersion device. This immersion device transmits the force, through the tension of a wire, to the support located on the plate of a precision balance. A detector collects the density values from the balance data and the temperature of the suspension. Applying the relevant law of sedimentation, the particle distribution is determined according to its size and the texture of the soil analysed.
