Abstract

An apparatus especially suitable for sugar has a fluidised bed chamber (10) through which the particles flow. This is divided in the flow direction of the particles into successive chamber sections (11-15) by partitions (21-24). The particles are conveyed over the partitions and also are fed via a delivery device to a further conveyor (30). At least the last two chamber sections (14,15) in the direction of flow of the particles are each provided with a closable delivery opening (32,33). The further conveyor (30) extends along the chamber sections (14,15) having the delivery openings (32,33).
