Abstract
System for the kinetic storage of electric energy using linear electric machines and lift by magnetic or electrodynamic levitation, which allows the storage of electric energy in the form of kinetic energy in a mass which rotates within a toroid housing and sustained by magnetic forces, electrodynamic forces or a combination of both, said storage being reversible, the kinetic energy being further converted into electric energy. Said double conversion is carried out by a linear electric machine which operates as a motor during the conversion phase of electric energy into kinetic energy and operates as a generator when the kinetic energy is converted into electric energy.
