Abstract

A vehicle fuel tank level measurement arrangement has a tubular casing with a flange (18) for connection to the tank, a resistor (24) and a float (26) movable parallel to the resistor under hydrostatic pressure for level measurement. The resistor (24) consists of a printed circuit on a rectangular cross-section rod of semi-stiff material, e.g. glass resin. The rod ends are inserted between pairs of pressure elements mounted on the flange or on the base (17) of the casing (16). USE/ADVANTAGE - Arrangement can be simply and efficiently mfd. and eliminates risk of fuel leakage caused by stresses not allowed for by conventional weak point.
