Abstract

It consists of an insulating intermediate laminar support consisting of a non-woven fabric in whose composition, or in whose covering, there is an agent which is resistant to the chemical action of mastics (putties) and glues which are usually used for applying carpets, flooring and the like. The support is equipped, on its back, with a self-adhesive layer, containing no solvent, which does not adversely affect the surface of the flooring on which it is applied. On the support, the usual mastic or glue for fixing the carpet is applied in situ, according to the conventional application method.
