Abstract
A cartridge (3, 30) for producing mock targets is particularly useful for protecting tanks (1) from sensor-controlled weapons (7). In order to simulate a very precise tank signature in a simple manner, it is proposed that reflectors (5, 38), in particular corner reflectors, and incendiary compositions (6, 39) be scattered by means of an explosive charge (37) so as to simulate a two-dimensional mock target (4). A typical mock target signature is simulated by the reflectors (3, 38) in the millimetre wave range and by the incendiary compositions (6, 39) in the IR range.
