Abstract

Slab (2) to be used in assembling niches, whereby it defines the base or lower wall of each niche and the roof or upper, enclosing wall of the niche immediately underneath. The slab is composed of a prefabricated, reinforced concrete sheet with a flange or unbroken rib (5) on the upper surface, running parallel and alongside the edges and delimiting a chamber to collect the liquids. The base of this chamber is slightly slanted towards one of the straight stretches of the rib or flange and has one or more openings (8) at its deepest zone. At the lower surface of the sheet, starting at the edges, there is an, again, unbroken recess (7) which gives shape to a peripherical step of the same width as the distance between the upper rib and the edge of the sheet.
