Abstract

Method and arrangement for controlling a plurality of coal feed devices, conveying, via conveyor belts, to a central transport installation, for supplying a coal-processing plant. The object consists in controlling the coal feed devices in such a manner that a specified quality parameter having a low tolerance width is fed to the coal-processing plant in a quantity-dependent manner. This is achieved according to the invention in that, at the individual coal-conveying flows of the coal feed devices, the mass throughput, the ash content and/or the calorific value and/or the water content and/or the bulk density of the coal are simultaneously measured in real-time operation, in that, from the individual measured values, the total quantity and the mean quality characteristic of the central transport installation are calculated and compared with the instantaneous quantity and quality characteristics necessary for the coal-processing plant, in that, from the comparison, a separation or combination, correct in terms of quantity and quality, of the coal-conveying flows is calculated and is controlled by corresponding alteration of the conveyed quantities of the individual coal feed devices on the basis of the desired values for the total quantity and average quality, the quality characteristic ... from the ash content and/or the water content and/or the calorific value and/or the bulk density of the coal, and the mass throughput ... preferably from the radiometrically measured mass per unit area, the bulk material cross-section and the speed of the ...
