Abstract
A flexible cover, suitable for use in electrolysis cells with a mercury cathode for the production of chlorine and caustic soda by electrolysis of a brine, consists of a flexible structure comprising at least one sheet of titanium 13 with a thickness in the range from 0.02 to 0.5 mm, arranged towards the inside of the cell, and a suitable insulating layer 16 towards the outside.
