Abstract

A foldable pushchair for babies comprises two back wheels 1,2 and one central front wheel 3 and is characterised in that it is laterally provided with two side members 5,6 being provided by way of armrests and being at their front ends linked in a pin-jointed connection (7, Fig 2) to respective legs 8,9 which converge to where the front wheel is fitted. Each of said side members 5,6 at an intermediary point is linked by a pin-jointed connection (10, Fig 2) to a respective back leg 11,12 associated with a corresponding back wheel 1,2. Each of said side members 5,6 is further linked at the back end in a pin-jointed connection 15 to an intermediary point of each of the branches 16,17 of a handlebar 18, the lower ends of the branches 16,17 being linked in a pin-jointed connection 19 to a U-shaped transverse member 20 which is laterally linked in pin-jointed connections (21, Fig 2) to a U-shaped frame 22 for the seat of the pushchair and to the back legs 11,12, the U-shaped frame 22 being at its front ends linked in pin-jointed connections 24 to the front legs 8,9 . Preferably the handlebar is formed by a U-shaped handhold 25 being linked in pin-jointed connections 26 to the branches 16, 17 of the handlebar 18 and comprising a locking device 27 for locking it in position.
