Abstract

A packaging container for receiving a free-flowing product comprises a flexible sack with closable outlet bung (2) and associated opening (6), supported in a rigid sheath. The outlet bung has a product outlet tube (9) which branches laterally from an upper part (8), whose oval outlet cross-section (10) can be closed and opened by means of a cylindrical tube extending into the upper part and provided with an opening for a closure cap (15) which can be rotated with respect to the outlet bung. A fastening flange (4) extends radially outward between the upper part (8) and the neck (3) of the bung. The packaging container is designed in two parts so as to ensure a maximum outlet cross-section, together with reliable sealing and minimal material requirements. To this end, the tubular upper part (8) is integral with the outer edge of the fastening flange (7) and the neck (3) of the bung extends outward beyond the fastening flange (7), by means of an inner tubular piece (13), into the lower end of the upper part (8) below the product outlet tube (9) so as to form an annular gap (14) between the upper part (8) and the inner tubular piece (13) for sealing accomodation of the inner tube (16) of the closure cap (15).
