Abstract

The mop pad (10) consists of a web (12) of textile which is provided on its under side with tassels (14) and on its upper side with insertion pockets (16) for fastening to the mop. These insertion pockets are moulded integrally from a rigid plastic material which is resistant to washing and high temperatures. At the edges of the insertion pockets to be connected to the textile web, the thickness of the material is kept smaller, to increase the flexibility, in order thus to prevent tearing out or splitting during stitching.
