Hierbei orientieren sich die Komponenten Werkzeugaufnahmeeinheit, Maschinengehäuse sowie ein üblicherweise hieran angeordneter Haltegriff entlang der Schlagachse, um effizient die erforderliche manuelle Druckkraft auf einen Meißel als Werkzeug aufzubringen sowie eine möglichst präzise Handhabung des hier interessierenden Elektrohandwerkzeugs zu ermöglichen. Dabei ist die mindestens eine austauschbare Akkumulatoreinheit zur elektrischen Energieversorgung von außen her zugänglich am oder im Gehäuse anzuordnen. Es ist jedoch auch denkbar, die erfindungsgemäße Lösung auf andere batteriebetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge anzuwenden, bei welchen eine bauraumoptimale Integration einer Akkumulatoreinheit erfolgen soll. Eine Akkumulatoreinheit besteht aus einem meist aus Kunststoff gefertigten Gehäuse mit elektrischen Kontakten, worin mehrere wiederaufladbare Akkuzellen untergebracht und miteinander elektrisch verbunden sind. Die Akkumulatoreinheit stellt ein relativ empfindliches und sicherheitsrelevantes Bauteil eines Elektrohandwerkzeugs dar.
