Abstract

A banknote cassette (10) has a first receiving compartment (44) for receiving bank notes and at least one second receiving compartment (46) for receiving bank notes. Description

The invention relates to a banknote cassette with a first receiving compartment for receiving bank notes and at least one second receiving compartment for receiving bank notes, which comprises a switch unit for optionally feeding bank notes into the first or the second receiving compartment.

The invention is used in particular in connection with cash machines into which notes of value, preferably bank notes, are deposited and / or from which notes of value are paid out. ATMs usually include a first value note cassette in which notes of value are stored that have been provided in an output compartment for payment to an operator but have not been removed by the operator. It is the object of the invention to provide a value note cassette which has a compact structure and in which notes of value can be stacked separately from one another.

This object is achieved by a device with the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

Because the value note cassette comprises two receiving compartments, it is achieved that different notes of value, in particular notes of value which are assigned to different classes of notes, are stored spatially separated from one another can be. It is particularly advantageous if the switch unit comprises an elastically deformable element which exerts a force on the switch element in such a way that it is moved into the second position or remains in the second position.
