De par leur effort de réaction sur la tête de retenue 12B de la broche, elles ont par ailleurs tendance à retenir naturellement cette broche en position, de sorte que la broche est peu sujette à des changements de position dus à des chocs ou analogues. En l'espèce, on a prévu deux pattes de sécurités 24A et 24B qui peuvent être manipulées ensemble en étant rapprochées (figure 4) ou écartées (figure 5) de manière particulièrement aisée. Cependant, on pourrait ne prévoir qu'une seule patte de sécurité. Par ailleurs, lorsqu'elle est engagée dans la chape 10, la broche 12 est orientée verticalement avec sa tête de retenue 12B en haut. Elle est donc d'abord retenue par sa masse, puis retenue davantage par la ou les pattes de sécurité. Cependant, la boucle d'attache 22 pourrait également être fermée en ayant une ou plusieurs pattes de sécurité analogue aux pattes 24A et 24B, fixées à cette boucle fermée, par exemple par soudure. On constate que la boucle d'attache 22 est alors disposée vers l'arrière (le fond) de la partie de chape 10A, c'est-à-dire, en l'espèce, à l'opposé de l'extrémité de cette partie de chape par laquelle va être engagé l'élément 4 qui doit être verrouillé. L'arrière de la partie de chape est en l'espèce sa partie voisine du montant 1. En l'espèce c'est la portion de la partie de chape par laquelle elle est rattachée à la bride 2 (plus précisément, à la partie de bride 2A).
