  • a treatment apparatus for collecting material adhering to the external surface of packaging to be treated. Such a device is shown in the figure 1 annexed.
  • This apparatus 1 comprises a cylindrical drum 4 rotating around a longitudinal axis Ox provided with orifices 6 forming a screen for retaining the packages and allowing the material to be collected to pass, motorized means 12 for rotating the cylindrical drum 4 and a housing external 3 to collect the material coming from the packages 13 introduced into the cylindrical drum 4 and having passed through the wall of this cylindrical drum 4.
  • a rotating brush 7, also driven in rotation by the motorized means 12, is mounted in the cylindrical drum 4 to brush the internal surface of this drum.

Depending on the degree of soiling of the packages 13, the treatment apparatus 1 can operate with the door 5 fully or partially open, the evacuation of the packages 13 taking place as they are being processed. It is also possible to close the door 5 while the packaging 13 is being processed and, at the end of a predefined processing time, open the door 5 and actuate the cylinder 33 to cause an exit of the packaging ejector 31 which slides inside the trommel 4 and pushes the packaging 13 out of the trommel 4 by the first end 4.1. The control unit 80 can then be actuated to control the worm 43 in order to carry out a new loading of the trommel 4.
