Description

    FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • The present disclosure relates to a spring mattress, and more particularly to a spring mattress with a softness adjustable mechanism.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • Conventional spring mattress mainly includes a cloth body and a plurality of springs disposed in the cloth body. The springs are capable of generating an elastic force such that when a user lies on the spring mattress, the user can experience a soft and comfortable sensation and better sleeping quality. The softness of the conventional spring mattress is fixed, and cannot be adjusted according to actual needs. Different users have different needs for the softness of the spring mattress, such as needs depending on the age and gender of the users. Such fixed softness can greatly inconvenience the users.
  • In this regard, the present disclosure provides a spring mattress with a softness adjustable mechanism to overcome the aforementioned issues.
  • SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
  • In response to the above-referenced technical inadequacies, the present disclosure provides a spring mattress with a softness adjustable mechanism, and the softness of the spring mattress can be easily adjusted according to actual needs so that the applicability of the spring mattress can be improved.
  • In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a spring mattress with a softness adjustable mechanism. The spring mattress includes an upper mattress body, a lower mattress body, a plurality of springs, and a plurality of softness adjusting units. The lower mattress body is disposed below the upper mattress body. The upper mattress body is spaced apart from the lower mattress body such that an accommodating space is formed between the upper mattress body and the lower mattress body. The springs are disposed in the accommodating space. The springs are located between the upper mattress body and the lower mattress body, the springs are spaced apart from each other, and one end of each of the springs abuts against the upper mattress body or the lower mattress body. The softness adjusting units are disposed in the accommodating space. The softness adjusting units are located between the upper mattress body and the lower mattress body, the softness adjusting units are spaced apart from each other, and the softness adjusting units respectively abut against the springs to adjust elasticities of the springs.
  • In certain embodiments, each of the softness adjusting units includes an airbag, the softness adjusting units are connected to an air pump, and the air pump is capable of inflating or deflating the softness adjusting units.
  • In certain embodiments, the softness adjusting units are connected to a control unit, and the softness adjusting units are capable of being inflated or deflated through the control unit.
  • In certain embodiments, either all of the springs respectively correspond in position to the softness adjusting units, or only some of the springs respectively correspond in position to the softness adjusting units.
  • In certain embodiments, one end of each of the softness adjusting units respectively abuts against the other end of each of the springs, and the other end of each of the softness adjusting units abuts against the lower mattress body or the upper mattress body.
  • In certain embodiments, each of the springs and the corresponding softness adjusting unit are sleeved by a retractable sleeve, the retractable sleeve includes an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve, the outer sleeve is sleeved outside the inner sleeve, an upper end of the inner sleeve is connected to the upper mattress body, and a lower end of the outer sleeve is connected to the lower mattress body.

The lower mattress body 2 is disposed below the upper mattress body 1, and the upper mattress body 1 is spaced apart from the lower mattress body 2, such that an accommodating space 21 is formed between the upper mattress body 1 and the lower mattress body 2. The accommodating space 21 is capable of accommodating the springs 3 and the softness adjusting units 4.
  • The springs 3 may be compression springs. The springs 3 are preferably subjected to a rustproof treatment so that a surface of each of the springs 3 is coated with an oxidation resistant layer by baking or blackening. The rustproof treatment to the springs 3 is well known to one skilled in the art and need not be reiterated herein. The springs 3 are disposed in the accommodating space 21. The springs 3 are located between the upper mattress body 1 and the lower mattress body 2, and the springs 3 are spaced apart from each other. That is, the springs 3 are arranged in a matrix and are disposed between the upper mattress body 1 and the lower mattress body 2 at intervals. The number of the springs 3 is not limited to those shown in the drawings and may be appropriately increased or decreased according to actual needs. One end of each of the springs 3 may abut against the upper mattress body 1 or the lower mattress body 2. In the present embodiment, one end (i.e. upper end) of each of the springs 3 abuts against the upper mattress body 1.
  • Referring to FIG. 4 to FIG. 5, each of the softness adjusting units 4 may include various automatic or manual adjusting components such as an airbag, a pneumatic cylinder, a hydraulic cylinder or a motor screw. In the present embodiment, each of the softness adjusting units 4 includes an airbag 41. As shown in FIG. 7, the airbags 41 of the softness adjusting units 4 are connected to an air pump 8 through pipes (not shown) such that the air pump 8 is capable of inflating or deflating the airbags 41 of the softness adjusting units 4 through a control unit 9. The airbags 41 of the present embodiment are inflated in a low pressure manner, which is safer. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the air pump 8 can be operated manually to inflate or deflate the airbags 41. The softness adjusting units 4 are disposed in the accommodating space 21. The softness adjusting units 4 are located between the upper mattress body 1 and the lower mattress body 2, and the softness adjusting units 4 are spaced apart from each other. That is, the softness adjusting units 4 are arranged in a matrix and are disposed between the upper mattress body 1 and the lower mattress body 2 at intervals. The number of the softness adjusting units 4 is not limited to that shown in the drawings and may be appropriately increased or decreased according to actual needs. Either all of the springs 3 respectively correspond in position to the softness adjusting units 4, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, in another embodiment of the present disclosure, only some of the springs 3 respectively correspond in position to the softness adjusting units 4.
  • More specifically, the softness adjusting units 4 may be respectively disposed below or above the springs 3. The softness adjusting units 4 may respectively abut against the springs 3. That is, one end of each of the softness adjusting units 4 may respectively abut against the other end of each of the springs 3, and the other end of each of the softness adjusting units 4 may abut against the lower mattress body 2 or the upper mattress body 1. In the present embodiment, the softness adjusting units 4 are respectively disposed below the springs 3, one end (i.e. upper end) of each of the softness adjusting units 4 respectively abuts against a lower end of each of the springs 3, and the other end (i.e. lower end) of each of the softness adjusting units 4 abuts against the lower mattress body 2.
  • In the present embodiment, each of the springs 3 and the corresponding softness adjusting unit 4 are sleeved by a retractable sleeve 5. The retractable sleeves 5 each include an inner sleeve 51 and an outer sleeve 52 in which the outer sleeve 52 is partially sleeved outside the inner sleeve 51, and the inner sleeve 51 is movable relative to the outer sleeve 52. In each of the retractable sleeves 5, an upper end of the inner sleeve 51 is connected to the upper mattress body 1, and a lower end of the outer sleeve 52 is connected to the lower mattress body 2, such that the retractable sleeve 5 is connected between the upper mattress body 1 and the lower mattress body 2. More specifically, each of the springs 3 and the corresponding softness adjusting unit 4 are disposed in the corresponding retractable sleeve 5 such that the retractable sleeve 5 is capable of supporting and fixing the spring 3 and the softness adjusting unit 4. The inner sleeves 51 and the outer sleeves 52 each have a pressure relief hole (not shown) such that if the airbag 41 accidentally bursts, the gas can be smoothly discharged via the pressure relief hole.
  • Further, in each of the retractable sleeves 5, a lower end of the inner sleeve 51 is provided with a first positioning portion 53 that protrudes from an outer wall of the inner sleeve 51 and extends away from an axial direction of the retractable sleeves 5; an upper end of the outer sleeve 52 is provided with a second positioning portion 54 that protrudes from an inner wall of the outer sleeve 52 and extends toward the axial direction of the retractable sleeves 5, such that when the inner sleeve 51 and the outer sleeve 52 move relative to each other to extend to a predetermined length, the first positioning portion 53 abuts against the second positioning portion 54 (as shown in FIG. 5) so as to fix in position the retractable sleeves 5 at the predetermined length.
  • More specifically, each of the softness adjusting units 4 is capable of being extended and retracted to change a length and an amount of compression of the corresponding spring 3. When the softness adjusting unit 4 is extended (as shown in FIG. 5), the spring 3 is compressed, the amount of compression of the spring 3 is increased, the length of the spring 3 is decreased, the elasticity of the spring 3 is decreased, and the structure of the spring 3 becomes rigid. Conversely, when the softness adjusting unit 4 is retracted (as shown in FIG. 4), the stress of the spring 3 is released, the amount of compression of the spring 3 is decreased, the length of the spring 3 is increased, the elasticity of the spring 3 is increased, and the structure of the spring 3 becomes loose.
  • In addition, the softness adjusting units 4 are electrically connected to the control unit 9, and the softness adjusting units 4 are respectively controlled by the control unit 9 as shown in FIG. 7. The control unit 9 is a control circuit including an IC board, and the control unit 9 is capable of controlling the softness adjusting units 4 so as to adjust the softness of the spring mattress.
  • In one embodiment, the softness adjusting units 4 can be adjusted to have different softness, respectively. For example, when the spring mattress is a double-bed mattress, the softness adjusting units 4 located at the left and right halves of the spring mattress can be respectively adjusted to have different softness such that the spring mattress can have two or more softness at the same time.
  • In one embodiment, the spring mattress can be mounted with a plurality of massagers (not shown) according to actual needs. For example, the massagers can be set to automatically vibrate at a predetermined time to improve blood circulation and sleep quality of a user during sleep.
  • In one embodiment, referring again to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, a portion of the spring mattress can also have an angle adjustable mechanism. More specifically, the spring mattress further includes a movable body 6. The movable body 6 is disposed between the upper mattress body 1 and the lower mattress body 2, and the movable body 6 can be adjusted to have different elevation angles according to actual needs. The movable body 6 is connected to a driving device 7. The driving device 7 may be a pneumatic cylinder, a hydraulic cylinder or a motor screw. The driving device 7 is configured to push the movable body 6 to have different elevation angles.
  • Second Embodiment
  • Referring to FIG. 6, a second embodiment of the present disclosure is illustrated. The spring mattress of the present embodiment is substantially the same as that of the first embodiment, and the differences are described below. The softness adjusting units 4 are respectively disposed above the springs 3, a lower end of each of the springs 3 respectively abuts against the lower mattress body 2, a lower end of each of the softness adjusting units 4 respectively abuts against an upper end of each of the springs 3, and an upper end of each of the softness adjusting units 4 respectively abuts against the upper mattress body 1. The softness adjusting units 4 of the present embodiment are also capable of being extended and retracted to change the length and amount of compression of the springs 3 so as to adjust the softness of the spring mattress according to actual needs.
  • The advantages of the present disclosure are that the softness adjusting units are capable of being extended and retracted to abut against the springs. When the softness adjusting units are extended, the springs are compressed, the elasticities of the springs are decreased, and the structures of the springs become rigid. Conversely, when the softness adjusting units are retracted, the stresses of the springs are released, the elasticities of the springs are increased, and the structures of the springs become loose. Accordingly, the softness of the spring mattress can be easily adjusted according to actual needs so that the applicability of the spring mattress can be improved.
  • The foregoing description of the exemplary embodiments of the disclosure has been presented only for the purposes of illustration and description and is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the disclosure to the precise forms disclosed. Many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching.
  • The embodiments were chosen and described in order to explain the principles of the disclosure and their practical application so as to enable others skilled in the art to utilize the disclosure and various embodiments and with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated. Alternative embodiments will become apparent to those skilled in the art to which the present disclosure pertains without departing from its spirit and scope.
